This is a paradise for birdwatchers. The beautiful Knysna Loerie is seen quite often. At night you will hear the Night Jar calling. Or you can enjoy in silence the clear starlit sky above. The Crown Eagle nested in the kloof close by, so you often see the eagle soaring over the hills.

Often you will hear the whistle of the Ribbok. Baboons, Monkeys and Bushbuck are all indigenous to the area. The call of the Fish Eagle is also occasionally heard.

You can enjoy a hike in the veld or kloof, where you can see the endangered little fish, the Redwinged Minnow.

For the more adventurous, mountain biking can be arranged in the adjacent Longmore forest.
